The eighth Open Government Partnership (OGP) Global Summit will take place on 6–7 September in the Telliskivi Creative City in Tallinn. The day before the Summit, an OGP training day will bring together the representatives of governments, local authorities, and NGOs from all over the world to participate in various workshops and discussions to learn from each other.

Approximately 2,000 visitors are expected. You can contribute to their enjoyable experience with your cheerfulness and professionalism, thus supporting the image of a democratic and open Estonia. The working language of the event is English and a very good level of spoken and written English is a prerequisite for volunteering.

What skills/resources are expected from the voulunteers?

You can volunteer at the OGP Global Summit in the following two roles:

Liaison officer

a key role in hosting high-level guests and the accompanying delegation. A liaison officer will support the organisation of the delegation’s visit before they arrive in Estonia (from 19 July 2023) by assisting with meetings, lunches, and hotel reservations as needed and will accompany the guests throughout the Summit, from arrival at the airport to departure.

“Welcome” team member

contributing to the success of the event at the Telliskivi Creative City. As a member of the “Welcome” team, you will be part of the organising team, coordinating the summit at the venue in all its different roles, e.g. supporting the development of the programme, assisting lead organizers in the running of workshops, guiding the guests and sharing information, doing accreditation. We invite the “Welcome” team members to participate in all training days, with active involvement in the activities starting from 22 August 2023. There is an activity suitable for everyone.
